I'm FINALLY posting some pictures of our trip to California the 1st week of March. I had 500 pictures to sift through :). We took a week long trip with our friends the Hall's and went to Disneyland for 3 days and the beach for 2 days. Disneyland was Magical and my favorite part of the trip was just watching our kids meet all their favorite characters, eat 6 bags of cotton candy, lots of churros and suckers, learn to love all the rides and play in the sand. Our last day in California was spent packing up, going bowling, eating lunch and heading to the airport. Tayler's goal was to meet all the princesses. We missed Tiana and maybe Rapunzel but had fun getting pictures with all the others. Our first few pictures London wasn't so sure about standing next to any of them, but she quickly warmed up and loved all the hugs she received. My favorite was standing in line for the mad hatter and Alice. The mad hatter was loud and silly and I thought for sure London wouldn't go near him. When it was our turn she walked right up to the Mad hatter, completely ignoring Alice. He showed her how his socks matched her dress and she thought that was cool.
Brandon never once got his picture taken with a cartoon character but towards the end of our 3 days at Disney he really started enjoying the rides and even threw his hands up on the roller coaster. :)
The kids loved the beach until it was time to clean up and they couldn't figure out how to get that darn sand off their skin. Our first beach day we went to Laguna beach and had a lot of sand to ourselves. The kids loved digging for sand crabs and Jason found a few big shells in the water. Our second day we met up with Gordon and Bev at their relatives house at Dana Point. We had a lot of fun playing with the Hall kids and visiting with our friends. Luckily they had a hose outside to clean off and jump in the hot tub to warm up.
I'm so glad we got to go on this trip, it was relaxing, fun and much needed!
