Another Sunday Story

We were in sharing time on Sunday and Brandon ended up being the only kid in his Sunbeam class that day. The primary president was in charge of sharing time and she was giving a lesson about how are bodies are like temples. She handed out to the kids several brown paper sacks with objects in them. When she asked the question, "what do we feed our bodies?" it was Brandon's turn to look in his bag. He pulled out several pieces of fruit. His eyes lit up as he held up the banana and says, "look a banana!" and then proceeds to rip it open. I tried to lunge forward in an attempt to stop him but he managed to get it in his mouth and take a big bite. I felt terrible but the primary president just whispered that she still had the other pieces of fruit she could use for the senior primary sharing time lesson and he could keep the banana. So Brandon got to sit and finish his snack and of course he ate the whole banana.

We have 9 a.m. church this year and it's been really hard to get our kids to eat breakfast before we race out the door in the morning. I'm sure he was pretty hungry that day.
