Mom, Dad and Marissa were able to spend Christmas with us this year. We were really grateful they could come visit and we had a lot of fun taking care of Marissa while she recovered from getting her wisdom teeth out and trying to fit in some fun activities in between. We took a trip out to the Riverwoods to see the lights and as you can see Jason dressed for the occasion so we didn't stay long because it was freezing.
This was our first year actually performing the nativity with the kids and not just reading it. We had a hard time scrounging up props so maybe we'll have to plan better for next year. London really wanted to be baby Jesus even though she's the height of a 4 yr old. Tayler loved being the angel and you can see by the picture she's actually glowing! :) Brandon liked rounding up the animals and tending to his flock.
After we read the Nativity story we watched part of a Christmas movie on TV until the kids kept hearing Santa and the reindeer bells outside our house and we told them he couldn't come inside until they were all asleep. I've never seen my kids conk out so fast. It was awesome! We had plenty of time to get things set up and head to bed early.
We let the kids wake up and see what fun things Santa left for them and then we hurried to get ready for church.
It made the day really special to go to church for an hour and listen to Christmas music and hear some special words from our bishopric. Afterwords we went home to open the rest of the presents. Holly and DJ made it out just in time to watch the kids go crazy. Brandon kept saying this was the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!
Grandma thought it would be fun if we all bought Christmas Socks and wore them Christmas day. Nana and Grandpa also came to visit in the afternoon and eat dinner with us.
The kids always want to ride the train at the mall so we jumped in for 1 quick trip. In this pic. you can see they are so excited because at the last minute Santa jumped on the train and rode it around with them.
We went to several movies over the holidays. The kids loved Arthur Christmas and The Chipmunks, Ship Wrecked.

Brandon loved feeding the fire with all the leftover wrapping paper.

A few days after Christmas we all went up to Ogden to spend the day at Riley's. We met up at a fun center and the kids had a blast learning to roller skate, play in the arcade and on the bounce houses. When we wore out we headed to Pizza Factory for lunch. Afterward we went back to Riley's to play and get a family picture. Fun day!

I think my favorite is London sitting in the play crib as baby Jesus. So cute! I also just love the family picture. Everyone looks great!
