Hike to Silver Lake

Angela and her crew came to visit the second week of July and one of their favorite things to do in Utah is hike so one day we tried out a hike up to Silver Lake. The drive up the mountain is crazy, you need a good SUV or truck in order to not bottom out and the road is narrow and some places you don't want to look over the edge. We parked at the first lake and then hiked up to the second lake. We saw lots of beautiful wildflowers, hiked in snow, crossed the rushing river on some small branches that were thrown from one side to the other, saw lots of hikers with dogs and one set of hikers with GOATS, and watched the boys jump into freezing glacial water. It was a fun day!
