Brandon and Tayler were encouraged at church to read the scriptures every day in 2011 and given a chart to track their progress. Brandon has been very faithful so far in reminding me that we need to read every day so he can color in the boxes. He is excited to read and that helps motivate me to read together as a family. One of the great things about reading together is that Brandon asks a lot of questions, sometimes too many questions :) He is very sensitive about what is going on in the stories and he doesn't like that the bad guys aren't choosing the right and following what Jesus would want them to do.
This morning we were reading about Lehi receiving visions and dreams that Jerusalem would be destroyed and he yelled out at me and told me to stop reading about the bad things and to only read about the good people. I told him he needs to learn about everyone in the scriptures so he would know how to CTR. I start reading again.....and he plugs his ears! Just wondering what he's going to say when we start reading about Nephi chopping off Laban's head :)
