I think it's amazing to watch how different kids are. At the same time it can get really difficult trying to figure out what works best for each child. Brandon loves breads and crackers, Tayler favors fruits and vegetables, and London will eat anything. Brandon likes to listen to people sing, Tayler loves to sing, and London's favorite thing is to see how loud she can scream. Brandon is always cold, Tayler is always hot and London is neutral. This week london came down with a bad cold and we have been battling naps. The usual sleeping tactic (that worked for Tayler, just laying her in her bed and crying it out) isn't working because then the runny nose starts flowing like crazy, gets everywhere and she starts choking. I know gross. When Brandon was little the best thing for me was to sing and rock and swaddle him to sleep. London hates being swaddled and rocked and recently she has decided to tell me she hates my singing. (I didn't know babies could do that, but they can!) Anyway, I was about ready to pull my hair out the other day when she wouldn't stop crying so I starting saying the 5 little monkeys. She instantly stopped crying and fell asleep 1/2 way through the second round. Weird. It's worked for me several times this week. Kids are funny and I'll just keep with the 5 little monkeys until I have to come up with a new tactic.

That is so funny about London!! Stick with what works and run with it for as long as possible!!
I"m big at having my kids cry it out also. But, we can't with Alex, he pukes every time. So, we have found that singing works for him too. How funny! He isn't as particular as London though.
