How we are getting along with 3...

It's crazy to stop and think, wow we have 3 kids all under the age of 3 1/2! This has been kind of a challenge for us learning how to adapt. I have to admit though, when I was pregnant with London I had so many comments that "#3 is the hardest of all" and "you're probably going to have a really hard time adjusting to 3 kids for the 1st year or so". Well, it definitely has taken some adjusting and it is hard, but I wouldn't trade these 3 kids or the timing of them for anything in the world! I think when I finally realized that I was just going to have to live on 4-5 hours of sleep a night, and I MIGHT get a shower in by noon, and all these shows that are saved on the DVR....just erase them because I have no time to get to them, then 3 really wasn't that impossible. I think what it came down to was that when #3 came, my attitude finally changed. Don't get me wrong, I still get plenty grumpy from lack of sleep and frustrated when I can't keep the kids happy and busy and my house clean and tidy, but I think I've become a lot more patient and a lot more understanding. I always thought I was a decent multitasker, but mom's really are the queens of multitasking. We learn how to talk on the phone, type on the computer, have a conversation with our kids, fix dinner, hold the baby and breathe all at the same time :) I think even though I'm exhausted i will try to keep remembering to enjoy this time although I still look forward to the time when all my kids can ride bikes so that I won't have to hike all the way up the mountain pushing a stroller of 2 and carrying a baby just so we can take a look at those diggers!

keep it up, you're doing awesome. I think it is so interesting how we have been on pretty much the same time table. Married w/in months of each other, kids within months, weeks and days of each other. I know that when our three grow up we are going to have some serious stories to tell. Are you ready for no. 4 yet!?!?!?!

I hate to say it will most likely get a little harder before it gets easier. I remember everyone telling me the same thing about 3 and when I had Morgan I was like, "This isn't so bad." But when she started to get a little older and the kids started fighting and making more messes and noise it got extra crazy. (of course I was sort of going through a lot of other stuff at that time too, so I guess I don't have the most accurate perspective). It looks and sounds like you are doing an amazing job though. 3 is much more fun than 2...just a lot more work, right? Cute post. Multitask away!

You are an amazing mom! It looks like you are doing awesome, your kids are happy! I am so impressed that you pushed the double stroller up a mountain with a baby strapped on you! :) I would like to have 3 kids, but I am thankful for our spacing right now. :) And thank goodness for multitasking!
