Is your house ever super quiet and you're just hoping against hope that the kids are off playing quietly/happily with the toys in their rooms when in actuality in your heart you know they are probably up to no good? I just had this "feeling" that I should check on Brandon and Tayler but I knew if I found them my peace and quiet would be spoiled. Well, they were playing quietly/happily in their rooms, but it wasn't with the toys, of course. Tayler (my monkey) climbed onto the changing table and managed to reach and open the vaseline. They proceeded to rub it in their hair and all over their faces. Tayler got the brunt of the mess being very generous with the portions she dug out of the jar. Brandon may have helped her, i'll never know. I decided the fastest cleanup would be to throw them in the tub, except that water and vaseline really don't mix. After 5 shampoos I finally pulled them out of the tub thinking we may have got most of it cleaned up. Well the 2nd and 3rd pictures are a result of Tayler laying on some pillows and rolling around on the floor. Obviously I didn't do a very good job shampooing; mostly the shampoo just helped smear everything around nice and evenly. We tried shampooing a sixth time in the kitchen sink and then Holly suggested we try dish soap and then my neighbor suggested corn starch. After the 8th cleanup she still looked like a little greaseball and we had to race to "activity day" so I decided she was just going to have to live with it. So much for my peace and quiet! I still have a chair with greasy handprints all over it waiting for my cleanup!
I would have thought the dish soap would have worked....I love it at the same time and I think I need a copy of one of those pictures. I love those little rascals
